This blog is a usually stranger to video posts, but when I stumbled upon this on Grist, I knew it had to be a very special, two-video-post kind of day.
It’s the music video for “CO2″ by a group of Vermont rappers called X-10. What they lack in rapper credibility, they make up for in the earnestness that can only come from politically active farm kids in Vermont. And their video beats the pants off Leonardo DiCaprio. Jorge, our resident video blogging expert, hails it as “the best global warming video I’ve ever seen.”

Seriously, your conscience can’t afford to miss it. Al Gore has been officially put to shame. How can you compete with lyrics like, “Renewable energy’s blowin’ up like a pyro” and “You mess with our cows and we’ll break your knees”? You can’t. X-10 rules.

Listen to these children…………please.
I’m convinced!
Deborah
They should go on tour with Mike Jones. Mike who? Mike Jones!
Thankfully, our children are finding ways of teaching one another that could end up being more effective than even the communication of the best available scientific evidence, upon which I have always relied for grasping how the world in which we live actually works and for understanding adequately enough the placement of the human species within the natural order of living things.
Children, please hurry, for it is time that you teach the misguided masters of the universe in my not-so-great generation well. The future of life could depend upon your every good effort to teach your elders about what is so obvious to you, and necessary now, in order to save life as all of us know it and the integrity of Earth God has blessed to inhabit.
Wow, I never realized “2/3 vote” had a gang-sign.
I wonder which one is P. Nasty…
