I was one of those kids who liked animals better than people. And what about now, at age 47? They’re about even. It’s not that I like people more, I just love animals a little less. And having children changes things. But always, I find observing and thinking about the ways in which we humans and other animals interact and change is interesting, funny, and sometimes distressing.
How about people who act like animals … where do they fall in the hierarchy? How about animals who act like people? I’m thinking of my daughter’s little dog … Daisy.
